A couple of issues have arised recently which could be connected or just bad luck.

The other day was changing interior bulbs but caused a short with my screwdriver eventually through the forum established that I needed to replace the 5amp fuse at position 15 on drivers side. My partner then used the car for a drive south on business and called me to say that the oil light had come on. So I advised her to top up but have now realised that the oil sensor garage warning is coming up on the MFD. I also noticed today that the A/C isn't working. Never had any previous problems. No click from pressing econ switch or engine fan not spinning. Have driven myself mad trying allsorts. Now is there another fuse I've missed or do I have a wiring issue.
Any help appreciated

your oil light being on is quite possibly a problem with the oil pump drive and not connected to any other blown fuse etc... i would get this checked out without starting the engine.
what engine code do you have ?

BKP engine but oil light is the yellow one, flashes with the MFD warning then goes out. Just have the feeling that I have an electrical issue here perhaps wiring harness.
My Indy is in Scotland & have no plans to visit so could do with a kind person to run a scan for a pint or bottle of wine :)

All working Martin. Would happen as it gets warmer!!!

Scanned using VCDS, G65 sensor showing as open. Changed sensor, no joy, free ac recharge at QF, all OK. Tested 1 & 3 on plug & no voltage.
Now i'm convinced its a fuse or relay and connected with oil sensor issue..

Sat at car so any quick help appreciated.

Check left side fuse box. Fuses sd8, sd15 and sd39. Also check sc27 & sc39 on right side fuse box. If possible take out and test with a bulb and a wires rather than just looking.
You should find that sd8 is the problem.

Prolly too obvious, but as your in car, don't use the pix in your handbook for fuse locations/numbers as they're wrong.
Use Martin's diagrams from his site

Assuming you've got Climatronic, do you get anything on its self diagnostics?
With ign on, engine off, press ECON and re-circ buttons together.
For example, adjust left hand knob to 10, fan centre knob to 1, which will give you
refrigerant pressure level in bar (just been out down motorway so mine's showing 6.4bar)

A test of flap motors is with ECON and --> pointing arrow vent buttons together.
You should hear them click thru a sequence

VW love to put fuses in different places. I would start pulling them out one at at ime and checking. You should be looking for a 5 amp fuse. Make sure you put back in the correct place !!!

I would say that more like Gareth getting it wrong after yesterday's incident. Now you have me thinking. Did I remove a 5 amp fuse when I fused the interior lights ?? And put a good one back in an unused slot. I guess I could just try putting a 5 amp in free slots to check. If anybody has a 2005-2008 bkp 2.0 Tdi s and could post a couple of photos so I can compare & I will do the same. Appreciate help Martin
Thanks again martin. Ill
