Hello all,
I enabled Hill assist today on my 2010 1.6 TDI A3 and immediately I had faults show up on my dash display, ABS, ESP and a orange steering wheel, so I did away with the Hill assist but VCDS will not clear the fault codes, well actually they clear then immediately re appear, can anyone help or advise what I can try next other than taking my car to a dealer
Many thanks in advance for any help
Ron

Go into Applications in the main menu on VCDS, press Erase All DTCs, do a few ignition cycles and rescan.
HHA wouldn't work on my 09, it was missing a sensor according to the fault code.

Thanks Chris, I have done that about 10-15 times today and no luck, every time I clear them they immediately come back,I am now at a loss on what else to try

Could you post an auto-scan?

This was my first scan, after I disconnected and reconnected the battery there was a fault on 44 steering assist too but I forgot to save that one

OK, went out this morning and drove the car down the road and back and the ESP and orange steering wheel faults seem to have disappeared but I still have the ABS light and a car symbol with 'tyre tracks' flashing at me...

Okay so you've re-calibrated your steering angle sensor since you disconnected the battery.
Now try the Erase All DTCs again and they should clear this time.

According to RT, 01486 - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01486) you need to do a Brake Function Test
ESP System Function Test - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/ESP_System_Function_Test)
Are you 100% sure you've taken the coding for the HHA off?

Do exactly as per that video and it should go away. That never happened mine when I enabled the HHA.
Odd!
