What he's saying is, download the firmware update onto a usb flashdrive from your computer, plug the flashdrive into the head unit, then update the firmware.

As to where to get one from Amazon, ebay, Pc World, Asda, Sainsburys.......you pays your money, etc.

FW = FirmWare = the data file you downloaded to flash update your headunit

You can remove the radio surround from the air bag light by two clips that are at sides of bulb holder. That way the surround doesn't get in the way.
Clear your current fault light with VCDS, or find someone local to do it for beer tokens
Before I had VCDS did this. And it cost me a tenner to get it cleared. Thanks for this one VW!

you may find the FW file if it's a Zip file needs to either come out of the folder the unzipped creates and then put on the media you are using, or you may have done that and it needs to remain in the folder,

I would check the manual to see if it demands it loaded a particular way, you may find it will only load from a CD, also you should look in options for a link to update FW, it won't just do it by plugging in.

In that case look in the unit options for bluetooth and ensure it's switched on and discoverable, same with your phone and when they find each other accept the pairing code.

Do it like this, make your phone discoverable and then switch the AV on and search

You will need to contact Pioneer about that as I believe it's your can-gateway which will require a new unit but I'm unsure if that would effect the BT function or not, they could just mean an iso loom Pioneer will be able to help you with that, alternatively call Dynamic Sounds and as one of the guys there (very helpful) as it maybe a £35 Connects2 lead you need.
