Audi A4 B8 or B9

Opinions please. Thinking of ordering at new A4 Avant. Decent discounts around now so can get a nicely specked model within budget. Problem is the new B9 model is about a year away. So do I buy now or wait for the B9? How much more is a similarly specked B9 gonna cost over B8 as I guess discounts on a new model will be low? Many thanks

No information has been given about the B9 as of yet including prices let alone official pictures.

Agreed but reasonable to expect the new car will be better and an evolution of the current model. Lots of web talk suggests should be around for MY15.

This is a personal choice, but for the record, I was an early adopter of the brand new (at the time) B8 avant in late 2008 to replace a B6 cabriolet and had no idea what I was letting myself in for. My other non Audi car was built 3 years into that model's life and it's been faultless for 25000 miles and to be frank, puts our 44000 miles Audi to shame.

IMHO I'd avoid brand new model updates and choose something that has had its "teething problems" ironed out. My perception is the face-lift B8 is better and must have some great deals for the taking?

Also remember that the Avant can be 3-6 months behind the saloon. So its probably mid 2015 at earliest.
