Guys I'm after some advice

Car 2005 A3 2l Turbo Quattro 56k on clock

I bought the car last year 50k from a non Audi dealer and now only do about 6/7k per year Mainly Short 5mile each way journeys to work etc

The car had a longlife service at 35k(main Dealer) this included plugs air filter/pollen filter etc

An oil service was done when the car was purchased.

An independant quoted £275 for an inspection service with pollen filter but no plug change and £100 for Haldex oil change

Audi have recommended an AVS? + pollen filter and haldex and brake fluid for £280

Should I be changing the Brake fluid,is it necessary?

Car is also due an MOT but thinking of just servicing at Audi and getting MOT elsewhere due to high labour costs if it needs anything done

Any Tips/ideas about where I should go and servicing that has been recommended.

The timing belt will get done early next year.

Thanks

Mark.

AVS = Audi Variable Servicing. This is where the computer monitors the engine and how the car is driven to determine when the next service is due (you will be alerted about 1000 miles before the service is due). This is opposed to fixed servicing.

Brake fluid should be done every 2 years. If it helps, I have written the service schedule here: Question Cambelt change interval - Page 2 (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?131315-Cambelt-change-interval&p=709625#post709625)

Here are Audi's fixed price servicing for 3+ year old cars: Fixed-price servicing < Servicing with Audi < Owners area < Audi UK (http://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing-with-audi/affordable-servicing.html)

Concerning the MOT, you may be interested in Audi's MOT protection - although you should check the terms/ask as to whether it would be of benefit to you: MOT Protection < Maintaining your Audi < Owners area < Audi UK (http://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/maintaining-your-audi/mot-protection.html)

As your mileage is below 10k ideally you should be on the fixed interval.
