Hi all, new to this forum, currently have 02 estate passat, tdi 100, looking for new car and came across this forum looking for advice on few cars im looking at.

Basically looking for either Audi a4 S Line estate (05-08), or VW Touran

Got to be Diesel. Any ideas on what to keep an eye out for service wise or common issues etc

ive seen the audis have issue with oil pump or something? any more info on this would be good. and im warned away from 20 tdi touran but why?

any advice appreciated.

my budget would be between £4000 - £6500

Some engines had a bad oil pump drive, which is around the 2005-2007-ish mark.

If you aren't in any need for power, go for the uber reliable 1.9 TDI.
