Hi
I've retrofitted cruise control and all has gone well so far. I have the stalk fitted and the wire running to the ecu. The repair wire connected to pin 16 on the connector block on the steering and the other end of the wire ran to the ecu. I've slotted the two tamper proof bolts in order to remove them. My question is , after removing both plugs, on is smaller than the other and looking for pin 20, which I found on both plugs, it appears the they are both occupied...
Appreciate any help that can be given. Pics etc

OK Got it working! I was looking for pin 20 on the large plug on the ecu as per the instructions in the vw kit. But this is for the 1.9 and 2.0 PD Diesels not the Common rail! For the common rail its pin number #64. So connected in. Activated cruise in engine with vcds and on steering and I now have cruise control!
Hopefully this will help others in the furure

Thanks for telling us about pin 64. I didn't include it on my site instructions because I thought the wire was already in the loom on later models. VW seem to say pin 64 is for adaptive cruise control.

Your welcome.
My CC is a 2009 but as you said not all will have the wire and almost all diesel passat's from then will have the common rail engine.
