Went for a test drive today in a 2.0lte S Line Multi, I was desperately looking for something not to like and quite frankly dear readers I couldn't find a thing wrong with it. The gear box is a revelation, the engine is certainly powerfull enough (found a quiet straight bit of country rd, put it in dynamic and floored it) the seats were Uber comfy and despite my reservations over the ride, it was fine! firm but not 'crashy' not unpleasant at all. All in all just what I was looking for. So,

I ordered one !!!!

Garnet red, heated seats, Colour DIS, lighting pack. be here sometime September. So surprised when I got out my quote from orange wheels, he said "thats what I have to do then"? went off for a minute came back and matched the price! I topped up the order with GAP and autoglym, got another discount off that! On the strenght of that I sighed up for a service plan, well, you got to havn't you?

And the best bit? really nice people, treated with respect but no fawning, really, really nice experience. Job done.

Oh yes, spread over a 3 hr drive with me 'making progress' at times, 44mpg. not bad.

Very nice indeed, not too many Garnet owners out there!

Make sure to keep us updated ;)

I take it you're just keeping the RMC nav?

If you want to see what's standard have a look here although you've probably already seen it - My 2013 (SE) A6 Courtesy Car .. (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?142091-My-2013-%28SE%29-A6-Courtesy-Car)

Thanks Chris, it was that post that convinced me that the a6 was the way to go, nav? Yeah, would have loved to go to a tech pack but couldn't really justify it. Still.

well, thats it...signed the finance forms today...picking car up on Friday.....it looks brill in the garnet, esp in the sun. The beige interior does compliment it....to the fact that the Dealer has ordered one for their stock...!!!!

Quick update, dealer emailed today, build scheduled for week 24,10th June. Should be with me late July / early August. Like a little boy waiting for Xmas. If it comes after the start of August I may delay till September 1st.
