(Note this is going out on Audi A1 and VW Audi forums)

Hey everyone,

I have been tinkering around within the Audi A1 Forum and the VW Audi Forums for some time now, as my wife and I have been working out where to take things on the car front, so I'm not entirely new, but the Thursday just gone has secured me a justification for my membership of the VW Audi Forum, and I hope allows me to at least keep honourary membership of the A1 Forum. We took great pleasure in picking up our shiny new A3 on that day, and I've been smiling since then :D. I've posted a few photos courtesy of Audi themselves, as they laid on a fun morning for us, including lots of piccies - thanks Cambridge Audi.

Base model is A3 Sport Sportsback, TFSI 1.4 140PS COD. Plus we added a reasonable list of extras, including the likes of:

Comfort package
Adaptive Cruise (ACC)
Parking System Plus
B&O sound
DAB
Sunroof
Standard Satnav
17" 5-arm kinetic alloys to replace the standard ones

It's still early days for assessing the COD engine, and I'm trying to control myself while we get the engine run in, but it seems to have more pull than the 1.4 120PS that we test-drove and is smooth and fun to drive. We're coming from mainly driving a diesel, so there is some getting acquainted to be done, but the car is so far showing no signs of disappointing us.

Of particular note is the ACC, which is a hugely useful upgrade on standard cruise, the B&O sound and the sunroof.

More as it happens.
Kev.
