morning all

had my a4 2.0 tdi for 2 years now and the service light has come up. My cars done bang on annual 10k miles a year so now its 2 years old with 20k on the clock and due its first service. I've spoken to a few audi dealers and the information they're giving me is varying greatly. I've been quoted from £170 - £334 ranging from an interim service to a major service. Im totally confused as to what is the recommended schedule for my car and what i should be going with.

Please help.

If your car has come up asking for a service bang on 2 yrs from new, it is set on fixed serving I'd guess. This means you have missed a oil service!

fixed servicing - every 12 months / 10k your car needs a oil service (oil change) and then a inspection and oil service at 24 months / 20k.

variable service - your car will tell when it needs a service, usually a odd mileage and time span, and it all depends on your driving.

you should be able to see what service plan the car was set up on in the service book.
