Is there any way on the a6 to set off the alarm on purpose???

Sit in the car, lock using the remote key and after about 1 minute or so start moving around, waving your arms etc.
Also do the above but leave the window open and start waving arms and it will go off.
Why may I ask?

Is there anyway to set it off remotely? On my volvo you could.
Kids and scooters keep hitting my a6. :(

Nope :(
In the USA there is a panic button on the key which does this though.

Wonder how that's activated.
I could really do with it.

A little button built into the key -
Not sure if do-able, maybe just a USA thing with different transponders built into the car and what not.

You could set the 'beep on lock' function and unlock/lock quickly ...but that will only be one beep.
I know there are aftermarket alarm systems that if you get too close to the car it gives a loud audible/verbal warning.

it will automatically relock the doors and arm the alarm if any handle isn't used when unlocked.

Have a look through this - VW AUDI Forum - VWAF (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/search.php?do=finduser&userid=38900&starteronly=1&contenttype=vBForum_Thread)
Roadhawk and BlackVue get good reviews.
