Hey guys

yesterday did my mmi update to 5570. Which all seemed to go to plan :) found out my parking module can have the parking visual aid turned on with vag com :) could never find the battery meter in the mmi so maybe that could be enabled

so my question what else would vag com be able to do if you had access to it? Not sure whether to get a cable and tinker myself or just ask someone for help. What else has Audi installed yet failed to enable. Unless you paid for the option.

My a6 avan has adaptive air suspension, keyless entry and start, automatic boot, adaptive head light with lights pack, sunroof, folding mirror (which you have to manually use, so you can drive off with them closed. Crazy feature) tv with dab radio and Bose dsp! Auto dimming mirrors. Auto lights auto windscreen wipers

can all these features be tweaked with vag com? Maybe even lower the suspension?

kind regards

chip

Look at the prefacelift here

A6 C6 VCDS Changes - Post & Pre Facelift (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=92769)

I wouldn't be messing with the suspension as the air is a delicate system and if you mess something up it could be expensive to repair.

oh, that reverse tilt mirror feature looks interesting :) started to read the big long thread on the subject, got to page 7 and kinda lost interest has i have no vcds knowledge :(

Did you ever find out what was needed to enable this feature? i have folding mirrors, auto dimming + heated and the electrical movement naturally :)

It is combo of vcds code change and having a memory/dimming/folding mirror unit on pre facelift cars...

Mine IMO came out of factory like this:-

passenger side = memory/dimming/folding mirror unit

drivers side = dimming/folding mirror unit

Have you enabled voice control phone in BT module... Link:- Something free at last :) ... (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?140849-Something-free-at-last-%29)

Hi Gups

Is there a simple way of determining whether my mirror have the memory feature? do your mirror fold in and out by them selves too? eg turn engine off fold in? engine start swing out?

Voice control has in to make calls from the steering wheel?

Only way to check is with VCDS and do the coding and see if it works or not.

On the C6 there is no functionality to auto-unfold or auto-fold without doing custom wiring.

If you press the Voice button on your wheel with a phone connected, say Help and see if it brings a list of options back.

i've not done that before, but i have seen a list of functions it can cover on the centre dash pod screen? this the same thing?

I'm sure gups mirrors fold in and out on their own? from watching one of his many videos :)

Thats the Mode button you're thinking of.

Press the button to the right of the airbag (with your phone connected via BT) and say Help, she should reply saying Dial Number, Store Number etc

This is my A3 wheel, but it's the same as the A6.

Then you have BT voice control enabled ;)

You can fit full SDS but this is expensive and most of the time the system won't understand and just say 'Pardon' all the time.

You mean it cannot understand yam yam? LOL

Is it easy to enable video in motion?

TBH BT voice control is working well for me now... I may try SDS (full voice control) when/if budget allow :Blush2: I think voice control is hit/miss depending on your own voice again only my opinion...

My mirrors do not fold in/out automatically :Blush2: was tempted to do the wiring mod which has been done on an A3 on another forum but had other things going on and prefer the manual fold in/out option as been handy driving down tighter roads on occasions...

Mirror tilt is handy as it does it automatically whilst you carry on reversing and concentrating on that but IMHO not worth the £££ to spend on getting a memory mirror housing unit...

In the mirror tilt thread there is another option which I or another has not explored... that is getting just the memory mirror motor and fitting it to normal housing and modifying harness to door control module to accommodate the extra wiring... someone I know also has another idea which they are exploring...

Feel free to PM for any queries/info :) ...
