Hi,

Just signed up, so first of all; Hello all! Hoping you can help me out answering a few questions for me!

I currently have a 56 plate Audi A6 3litre TDi Quattro S-Line Le Mans, which i absolutley love but due to having another baby on the way im having to look for a bigger car!
So my attention has turned to the Q7!

Does anyone know if 3 car seats (2 isofix and 1 bumper seat) will fit on the back seats (without having to use the seats in the boot)?

Due to my budget im looking at a 2006/2007 model. As i have the A6 i am aware of the known issue on the intake manifolds failing - infact all 3 of them failing!!

Does the Q7 3 litre diesel engine from 2006/2007 model have the same issue?...Is it the same engine??

Thanks in advance.

Same engine so same problems even my 2008 car has had them fail 3 or 4 times now but they were fixed under warranty.

Does that mean if i keep my A6 then the they will likley fail again?

More than likely, yes.

But I suppose like anything, it may vary from car to car.

what year was the 3 litre diesel engine updated?...and has this manifold issue been fixed in the later engine?

I think it was updated some time around 2009 and no idea sorry if the issue has been rectified.

Hi,

I've just been informed by the audi specialist where i take my car, that there is now a repair kit for the manilfold issue...so no need for a full replacement, costing £400+ per manifold and will more likey be around £100/150 ...can anyone confirm this?

Cheers.
