Hi guys ive got an 08 plate passat 2.0ltr tdi, recently my engine warning light came on and was diagnosed with this P2563 code (turbocharger boost control position sensor : range performance). Now ive had this replaced and caliberated by a vw garage but the fault code still remains!! granted ive got the power back to how it was befor the fault came on!
the vw dealership wanted more time to investergate the problem but at £86 per hour my pockets are only so deep!!

Since getting the car back the engine warning light only comes on when iam brakeing! this led me to think that i might have a vacume problem! ive checked all the associated vacume pipes, no leaks were found! i had a stab in the dark and replaced the boost control solonoid, this did help slightly now the warning light only comes on when the vacume system is emptied ie pumping the brake pedal!

Iam sick of the glow plug light flashing and the damm beep can someone please help:aargh4:

What engine are you talking about. PD and CR systems are different.

Well got the fault code permanantly fixed now!! after taking my car to another garage with much cheaper rates, they found that the little plastic vacume pipe on the egr cooler had snapped!!!!! no idea how but there you go

they rang around for prices for a new part but its a non serviceable item and i was told i needed to buy a new cooler at a price of just over £700!!!!

or they said..... we can glue the pipe back on and hope that it holds.
that was over 2 months ago and havent had a problem since woo hoo :biglaugh:

Whilst it's good to have your follow-up, it would have been even better if you'd acknowledged Martin1810's reply to your initial post, where you asked for help.

He took the trouble to answer you, as he does for so many people on here, why couldn't you take the trouble?
