Hi fellow members :) ...
Today I was wishing to test N275 ... Link:- Audi Portal: Actuators Diagnostic . Audi A6 4F (2005- ). N275 (http://www.audi-portal.com/en/diagnostic/actuators_18899.html)
A solenoid/vacuum valve which actuates the bypass flap within the air filter housing on my car...
I didn't know how to go about this... the service guide had no advice...
Then I found this by googling for the part no on by solenoid 037 906 283 C... Link:- http://www.volkswizard.co.uk/airbox.htm
From Linked guide...
Notes:
Testing the power flap using VCDS can only be performed without the engine running. This means that there is only a finite amount of vacuum stored in the reservoir that can be used to perform the output tests available through VCDS. When it starts to run low the flap can perform just like a defective one with slow and incomplete movement. To replenish vacuum levels, the engine needs to be started up and to idle for at least 10 seconds but this isn't easy with coils and MAF disconnected but it doesn't take that long to plug it all in - with the coils I just pushed the connectors into place without clicking them on so they'd come off easily. I ran the airbox top up side down and placed the air filter into it to prevent ingesting any dirt.
And then googled this... Link:- Ross-Tech: VAG-COM Tour: Output Tests (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/tour/out_test.html)
The VCDS test will check fuel sensors, tank pump, actuate engine mounts, swirl flap motors, EGR valve & cooling flap, etc,etc...

Later a little more media on my own work today ;) ...
