Hi,
Im posting this to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem as myself.
I went to lock the car as normal with the remote central locking key and it wouldn't lock. I could see the battery wasn't dead in the remote as the red LED was flashing when pressing any of the buttons. I started the car up and then turned it off and tried locking again and it locked as it would normally. Just seemed a bit odd......
thanks

Change the key battery for good measure. Takes 30 seconds.

Sometimes I have seen this with Audi cars but not with my B8, notably when the key was pressed often when away from car so that the key and car were out of synch. Starting the car with the key brought it back in line and back to normal. Never spotted this with the B8 but I assume it would operate similarly.

Yeah that seems to be what has happened but I managed to get into it ok in the first instance, drove 40 miles home and it wouldnt lock. Hopefully this isnt the start of it playing up

I have experienced this too on my B8 and a previous model.
Like most computer technology, it can be subject to such blips. I work and fix a range of IT technical problems during the course of a day and see lots of similar issues.
The good thing is you have worked out a simple "workaround"
