Does anyone know if it is possible to turn the synchronised door mirrors off so I can set them independently of each other. At the moment the R position alters both mirrors together and the L position adjusts the passenger side only.

I was initially told by the dealer that they are designed to work that way and that it can't be altered. I then showed them the page in the manual which gives details of how to turn them off using the convenience menu (which incidently my car doesn't have). I have been told that with my dash it is impossible to turn this annoying feature off.

I am assuming that if it is possible to set this using the convenince menu then it will be possible for a dealer to active/deactivate it.

Does anyone know if this is possible or not.

Cheers

I can do it from the "MAF" computer on my B6 passat, just enter the menu and change the setting. I'm not sure you could change it on older models of the passat.

same on my golf

Sales man explained to me when i bought it that i had to setup the drivers side 1st and than the passengers cus if i did it the other way round the drivers side would alter the passenger side.

Or was it the other way round:confused:

Either way, i'm the only person to drive it so i never need to alter them.
