If driver's and passenger's seats were each on heat setting "3" (for example) and you stopped the car, the next time you restarted, they would both come on on heat "3" as opposed to "off"
Just recently my car only remembers the driver's setting and sets the passenger side to off. Any ideas how to rectify this. Is it a fault that has developed or have i switched a setting somewhere by mistake.

Are you using a different key by any chance?

Some settings are stored differently to which key starts the car.

Same thing happens with mine Rsheen, I think.

..Me Too! (Actually I'm still with my Q5), - But only occasionally. I'm using comfort key, but always the same one for me.

Does it depend if there is a passenger in the car? Thinking it may be that Audi reckons there is no need to heat the seat if there is no one sitting in it.

I take your point, but would that not also depend on whether there's a passenger in the car at startup in that case?

The heating comes on if there is no-one in the seat. I turn it on on my way to the station to take the edge off the cold for my wife or SODIL.
