Hi i have a 2003 audi a4 2.5 tdi v6 180bhp b6 model.
There is air getting pushed back through the air box and it sounds like a dud or bop bop bop bop sound, i got told it would be a valve stuck open on the engine, i tryed putting cleaning stuff in the fuel, and i just put piston ring and valve cleaner in the oil then serviced it but still no difference. I put egr valve spray through the airbox which made it alot better for about a week, but then sound is back again, also had a cylinder test done and all seemed ok except one was slightly slow. Any help on what else it could be? or how to fix it with out the head coming off.

The engine needs a rebuild as i'm sure your cams are worn and it dropped a few lifters ! Be carefull, the rockers can push against the valves and they snap dropping inside the engine causing serious damage ! Get it fixed- budget up to £1600 fopr a decent set of cams, lifters, rocker arms and a cambelt kit whilst at it !

Thanks for help, duno if it is that, i seen one like that on youtube, and the sound was a bad clicking/knocking sound. but it could be, the garage says its just a stuck valve but they dont really know.

Trust me mate, i've been rebuilding these for years, take your rocker covers off and you'll see the rockers are fallen and jumping about in the head. The valves stay shut so there's nowhere for the compression to escape but back trough the intake...
Take the rocker covers off and fish the loose bits with a magnet- the engine will drop valves otherwise which will be terminal and cost £££ to fix !
