Hi
I am looking for the fuel return pipe for my audi a6 2004/2005 3.0TDI. Does anybody know where I can get a set of these pipes?
They are from the 6 injectors down to 2 pipes which goes into the pressure retention valve then down to 1 single pipe. part number 059 130 218H
Thanks

I'm after these also... AFAIK they are one complete unit... ie pipes to all six injectors then to the retention valve... approx. £175@dealer...

Been checking ebay but no luck :( ... may try finding out if a repair shop can crimp on new pipes but not had time yet...

Not really done any tests to see if non crimped would stay on... but service guide highlight that 10 bar pressure is maintained in return system if I'm reading it correctly :Blush2:...

Another idea has been to get some off a scrap car to check what can be done as I did not really want to destroy my current ones...

I found some cracks on the line but not leaking yet http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/Blush2.gif...

hi gupsterg thanks for the reply
im going tomorrow to see about making a new hose at a local hydralic hose shop but my problem is the Pressure retention valve end has snapped off so im thinking of doing away with this and to crimp a new hose in place of it...

You will need the valve AFAIK that valve maintains the correct pressure in the return system which the injectors need for correct function from what I read...

The pressure retention valve maintains a residual pressure of approx. 10 bar in the return lines.
This residual pressure is required for the control function of the piezo injectors.

Pressure retention valve

In return lines from cylinder banks 1 and 2
The pressure retention valve maintains a residual pressure of approx. 10 bar in the return lines.
This residual pressure is required for the control function of the piezo injectors
The pressure retention valve may only be renewed together with the fuel return lines.
After replacement, engine must be run at idling speed for approx. 2 minutes to bleed fuel system
If the pressure retention valve is defective the fault memory will not detect a fault and the engine will lose power.

I need the pipes not the valve... did it break whilst trying to crimp the pipes on? or trying removal?

Any tips be welcome :) ...

The small plastic end of the valve broke off when i was moving the lines out the way to replace a glow plug my car is a 2004/05 so maybe it was brittle from years of heat bloody expensive mistake. in your case be careful as the old hose will be tricky to get off but a hose shop should be able to crimp a new hose on for you

I've been searching for 059 130 218 H ...

But it seems a 059 130 218 Q would also have fitted... went for £90, back in Feb 2012...

AUDI A4 A5 Q5 Q7 A6 VW TOUAREG PHAETON 2.7 3.0 V6 TDI FUEL HOSE - 059 130 218 Q | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A4-A5-Q5-Q7-A6-VW-TOUAREG-PHAETON-2-7-3-0-V6-TDI-FUEL-HOSE-059-130-218-Q-/400247486456)

Also 059 130 218 AF may also be ok, coming up for £125@dealer will enquire Monday to see what they say :) ...

059 130 218 H comes up as pre facelift V6 (04-08)... 059 130 218 Q & 059 130 218 AF come up as face lift V6 (09-11)...

Item seems so rare on ebay :( ...
