US style side indicators

Hi,

I would like to let my side indicators to be on the whole time.
Just as in US carts and for example Volvo's.

If I understood correctly it has to be done by connecting a VAG-COM device.
A buddy of mine has one of those.
But does anybody know what you have to do to program it?

And would it also be possible to let the foglights burn when you turn left or right?

Your side indicators as in sidelights? As in DRL's?

My 2009 has the option for cornering fogs but they don't seem to work when enabled.

Yep... The orange ones ;). That they burn at 25% or something all of the time... Just as in cars in the USA...

I'm pretty sure that would be an illegal configuration in the uk.

I haven't seen anything in vcds relating to it.

Yeah in Holland it's illegal too...
but who cares :p

There should be a code to program it and it looks awesome!

My painted rear lights are also illegal, but also lOok cool ;)

Sorry I didn't realise you were from Holland .. Stupid iPhone!

I think the American headlight clusters are different from our European clusters so they would need changed I'm guessing.

but still don't know if you just need the VAGCOM device or that you also need that software...

So a friend of mine has such a device but don't know about the software...
