Standard Nav and traffic

My A6 gets built next week so getting excited now. I've gone for an Avant 2.0 sline multitronic with ACC , colour dis and privacy glass.

Did not go for upgraded nav or upgraded phone options but was wondering if you get any traffic information and rerouting on the basic nav. I currently use Tom Tom on my iPhone with HD traffic and its very useful

I'm pretty sure the standard RMC nav includes TMC, which will alert you to traffic issues and reroute you if necessary. The upgrade to MMI 3G+ nav gets you online traffic info (if you go online and activate it)

yes the standard Nav does have TMC traffic as standard and it will reroute, you can also request it to reroute your journey on the fly if you meet traffic not identified through TMC (TMC is not as comprehensive in coverage compared to the traffic data you get with a TomTom device so it will not spot all of the jams)
