Rear wiper has got clogged due to the jet cap blocked & water has built up & probably rusted the internals & its leaked over the boot lock & shorting, new wiper motor needed & possibly boot lock, although I've fixed the locks by cleaning corrosion of the connectors & works after that.

think it could be the boot lock......i unpugged the boot lock from the wiring and the warning light on dash went off and the rear washer started working again... will keep you posted on the progress, thanks for your info NHN :beerchug: appreciated !!!

The motors internal sealing fails and pours washer water onto the lock unit so usually you need a new wiper motor and lock unit plus the wiring connectors in the harness plug can be badly corroded.

just to add to the previous replies, if the micro switch in the lock is not working then the rear wiper will not work, the same as if the tailgate is open then the wiper will not work, this is also the same with the bonnet lock and front wipers. so might not need a wiper motor check the lock first, just thought i'd throw my tuppence worth in, hope it helps.

just a thought but the clicking noise could be the climate control if it was switched on, they do tend to make a noise when the fan is on a low setting, its very common on SEAT's , sorry but i laughed at your post......boot locks are on back order!!:D:D as opposed to bonnet locks on front order, just my daft sense of humour!!! lol :D
