Hi all, ok got a major problem with my 1.9tdi A4 B6 the instrument panel has decided to have a mind of its own, the traction control light came on then all of a sudden FULL Power on the fan blower, i can't control the climate control the instrument cluster works with needles but nothing else.. Iv plugged in diagnostics and a lot of Can Communication problems with the instrument panel, Immobiliser, Climate control and restraints? I have reset and disconnected battery now i have no control over the alarm. I will admint that about 3 years ago i did plug in Vag K+ can to adjust mileage and ended up messing up the eeprom but the car did work fine afterward, although recently i have disconnected the battery that i have not done over the past 3 years, basically im asking if anyone has come across this or has any idea how to fix the problem, the car is undrivable as the alarm keeps going off while driving and no tell tell lights work on dash nor does the interior heating???

You'll need the followin

1. Money
2. A new cluster
3. VCDS or VAS-PC And someone that knows how to use them
4. Sense you shouldn't "adjust" mileage unless its a new cluster and you should never tell people that you clocked a car, even your own car, it makes them uncomfortable

ok new cluster? will a second hand one do? and recode that? iv spoken to a specialist down the road from me who is running vcds is there no way of recovering my own cluster?? there are reasons for adjustment as the paper work on my car ACTUALLY showed that my clocks had been changed before i purchased it and the displayed mileage was incorrect just wanted to make things correct..

VCDS does a one time only forward adjustment on a new cluster. Second hand ones can be a pig in a poke but you could get lucky. Perhaps a tuner or auto electrician could restore yours to working order but I doubt it will be cheap
