Does anyone have a 3.0TDi (204) Manual? It's my preferred pick but they seem few and far between.

I didn't think it came in manual? Certainly wasn't an option when I got mine a year ago.

I honestly thought you wanted to borrow the manual, and I was going to say that it's built into the MMI!

I think that you are wrong.
I have a 2012 model year (Edition 3.0 10/11) brochure in front of me and it is available in all combinations of SE and S line, Saloon and Avant (p18).

I think that the issue is that most people going for the 3.0 tend to pay the extra £3k and go for the quattro version that is auto only. Also those buying a 3.0 A6 are also probably being convinced (rightly or wrongly) that the resale value of the auto is better than a manual

Yes maybe I should have been clearer 3.0TDi (204) Manual-as-in-not-automatic.
Who uses a manual anyway (as in the owner's manual)?
Confusion abounds.
It does exist - and it's very nice - I am a little concerned about residuals but I plan to keep it a while so I doubt it will be a big problem.
But I guess the answer to my original question is no-one here seems to have one.

I agree it would be very nice, one point to note is that it's front wheel drive and people do say that it's easy to spin the wheels.
Once your moving however, I think the manual box would probably be more 'useable' than the automatics.

I must be wrong then, perhaps it just wasn't available when using the car configuring tool on Audi's web site?

Well I figured I was paying an extra £5k for the 3.0 (over the 2.0) and then if I pay an extra £3k for the quattro, its only an extra £5k for the BiTDi .................

I know a few of us on the forum own the 3.0 TDi (204 PS) - but I think they are all automatic... I would have loved to go for the quattro - but since my car is a company car, the CO2 of the quattor put it out of the game for me....
However saying that - I have not had any problems with the FWD 3.0 TDi - it stable enough in past few months I have owned the car and didnt give me any issues in the cold spell we have just had where the temp went down to -5 C and the roads were not ideal

I think my big aversion to the auto is the multitronic. I had a loan car (Nissan) with CVT about 15 years ago and hated it with a passion.
I'm sure things have improved and I'm sure Audi are better than Nissan. But I'm not convinced about this style of box.
I'd be interested to hear peoples experiences of manual vs multitronic vs s-tronic vs tiptronic gearboxes

I have 3.0 tdi 245 PS stronic. The auto box is great when moving but a pain when trying to manoeuvre slowly. If the quattro was a manual i would have preferred itThe 204 manual does exist as i had one as a courtesy car. As it was front wheel drive traction was a problem and to be honest it would not pull the skin off a rice pudding. The acceleration was way way down compared to the quattro 245. I even checked under the bonnet as i was convinced it was only 2.0 litre
