Hey
I have been unable solve a problem regarding transferring music from Imac to sd card. i dragged/dropped to A sandisk 8 gig card SDHC it scans all tracks and shows all as "track damaged" highlighted in grey, then below this listing, all tracks are highlighted in orange in MMI and tracks play Ok ,it appears as if there are two of each album. I have to scroll down all the grey listed tracks until I reach the orange listed tracks before I can play anything from card reader.
Is there something simple I've missed out/done wrong ?

Thanks in advance.

found this on another forum and it solved the problem. ive posted it up so if any one else is struggling with this let me know

If you are writing music files to an SD card from a Mac, there are a number of "invisible" files that are written to the card in addition to the .Mp3 files. While these Resource files are invisible on the Mac, they show up on the RNS-510, and any other media center car devices. This can dramatically slow down the radio as it sorts through all of these files, and because of their file names they show up in front of the valid Mp3 files. They can be a real pain in the butt.
There are essentially 2 ways to correct this.
1. Use a PC to write the Mp3 files to the SD card. The windows file system is a little bit less advanced so it does not have these extra files.
2. Install a SD card "Scrubber" that removes the offending files from the SD card or any other media device that you identify. If you have a Mac, this is the way to solve this problem.
The Scrubber software that I recommend is called Blue Harvest (http://www.zeroonetwenty.com/blueharvest/). This is a system control panel which has both simple and advanced controls, and completely removes all of these pesky files.
