Alarm problem

The factory fitted alarm on my car Audi a4 1.9tdi (2000W) will NOT arm at all. I have performed the usual intruder test, but this did not trigger the alarm.
Also,when central locking the car the indicators do not flash, but do when unlocking.
What can be the problem?
Any help/advice appreciated.

Scan with VCDS first it could be several things, post the results on here or look on the VCDS map for a member near you
