Lower arm ball joint sizes.

Hi all,

I'm having a spot of bother. I bought an arm kit for my car which apparently has 20mm ball joints in it. I offered this arm upto my car (an A4 B5 Avant 1.9 tdi 110hp 1996 with steel uprights) but the ball joint was considerably smaller than the one on my car.

The seller is certain the supplied arm is a 20mm item not the other 16mm size which means my car has a freaky one off extra large size or something? Does anyone know what range of sizes there was for these?

Have you measured the size of the ball joints?

Where do you measure from the top or bottom of the shank on the joint, mine measure 16mm at the top and 19mm at the base ?????

He supplied you with the wrong suspension arms, yours have the thicker baljoints from factory !
