Hi there

Im taking delivery of my new A4 tdi s line saloon 2012 next week. Which make of towbar is the recommended or preferred option to be fitted. Does the rear bumper require to be cut. Is there a dedicated wiring kit for the vehicle. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bosal International (http://www.catalogue.bosal.com/pages/tow_carspecnr_list.php?query_nr=4&make=AUDI&model=A4&body=01&year=2012)

Might give you a few pointers it looks like the bumper has to be cut and it will need coded into the car

I just called PF Jones to enquire about a towbar for my A6.....Westfalia is the recommended Audi towbar...is infact the one that Audi use as OEM. Quote for the supply and fit of detachable one including 7 pin bypass electrics ( I'll only be towing a small trailer) was 386 quid all in....cheapest I could find by a long way. Will be using them when I get around to doing it.

I bought the detachable westfalia version with the dedicated wiring loom. Towbar was a piece of **** to fit, just need to finish the wiring now. Mines a 09 sline avant and I did need to cut the bumper but you have got to get right down low to see it. I also put some edge trim around to tidy the edges up. There's a nice little spot for the towbar in the boot floor to the left of the spare wheel when removed.
