Hi all,
A question for all you 'improvers' out there. I have just bought a base model Lupo to tootle about town in. I'm very pleased with it indeed. There is one thing I don't really like though (and I admit this is very picky and small minded), and that is the thinness and mean-spiritedness of the steering wheel (OK laugh out loud now!). "My other car" is a 99 Audi A6 which has a lovely thick-rimmed wheel which feels lovely to hold.
So here are my questions...
1. Do the posh versions of the lupo have a nice thick padded leather steering wheel?
2. I'm guessing that theres a lot of parts crossover with the Polo....would a polo wheel be a direct replacement...plenty of those about?
I've changed airbag steering wheels (for the same reason!) on other vehicles so I'm well aware of the safety implications for removal and replacement.
Any thoughts anyone? or can anyone with a Posh Lupo confirm if it has a lovely thick wheel? Leather bound of course :-)
