Hi guys my a4 convertible auto gearbox has started to play up,it's a 2004 04 2.4 petrol and it seems to have a judder between 2nd and 3rd but it only does it when warm
had it in the garage for a gearbox oil change(with right oil)but still the same.Can any one tell me if i need a new gearbox and ifso where can i get one cheap(i have herd of a lot of problems with the cvt from vag)Please help the wifes doing my head in about it and i think a new gearbox would be cheaper than a divorce lol

A new box from VW is £4494 and then you have to fit and fill it so you are looking at £5K, maybe its time to see how much that divorce will cost!

Do a search ,here or the web generally, there is an outfit in Northampton who specialize in repairing such units but I can't think of their name
