If you already have the bumber off and the front in the service postion and covers off then you can see the allen key hole. 10mm from memory. You need to tell us the engine code like AKE, it is on the ID Label in the spare wheel bay. Have you got two thin 32 mm spanners to remove the Viscous fan and do you have a manual. Regards Peter

The engine code is AKE Have not been able to remove bumper but have felt allen key hole and tried a 12mm in it but is to small Unless i am feeling the wrong allen key hole but it is right next to the tensioner as shown on elsawin diagram

Without the front in the sevice position it is very very tight. Good Luck. Regards Peter

It looks bloody tight, but can it be done?
The motor looks like it protrudes quite far into the housing meaning it needs to be withdrawn quite far, the alternator must be in the way?
I also have a small diameter pipe coming from the block that looks like a water drain of sorts right in the way.
Any help with confirming this would be most appreciated as it means I get someone else to do the job. thanks.

If it is the tensioner for the large alternator belt, on my allroad AKE it was a 17mm hex
