Hi,
I have a 2004 A6 Tdi Sport auto multitronic. Recently when driving in D, without touching anythung it slips from D (drive) into S (sport).. it will remain in S for a while and without touching anything again it will go back into D... However
If it has slipped into S and i touch the multitronic buttons on the steering wheel or try and change it back into D using the gear stick it will come out of gear completely and the display will flash all gears. The only way to correct is to stop and put it into park, then select D again..
It is happening more frequently and now every day. I have managed to get in on a machine yet for a fault code. Does anyone have any ideas if this is a major issue and how to resolve?
