clutch replacement

hi all, i have a 2002 130 tdi which has 118k on it and today the clutch is starting to slip in higher gears. car runs really smooth no noises or juddering from transmission side so could i get away with replacing the plate kit only and leave the flywheel as is. been an expensive few months (not car related) so don,t want to do it if not needed.

You can,but its just the case of how long the flywheel gonna last.If you paying a garage to get it done and planning to keep the car it could be a false economy.
