Hi, while trying to repair 1 fault on my a4 I noticed a pool of fuel on the drive. While running a fairly fast leak of petrol comes from near a cylinder shaped thing in front of the rear driverside wheel. It's more into the centre of the car. 3 lines run this way past the cylinder I'm assuming 1 fuel line and 2 brake lines. Does anyone have any idea what's happened here? Thanks in advance for your help. Steve

Thanks for the replys. The leak is near the fuel filter. Checked the banjo bolts but then realised the petrol was coming from what must be a snapped line or hole in the line under the rubber clamp whick holds it to the car. I need to get it up in the air to get a good look. Anyone experienced this before? Will i be abke to patch the metal line with a rubber petrol hose?

Thanks for your help everyone. After taking the rubber clamp off and started the car up petrol sprayed out like a water pistal. I cut the rusted piece out, cleaned the pipe and used rubber fuel hose and spring clips to fill the gap. Job done, thanks
