Only difference i see is front axle and back axle then different brands.
Is it definitely faulty? What makes you sure its faulty?
Something as simple as a fuse can make vagcom give off a reading of a faulty sensor. They also often just need a good clean. Brake pads without inbuilt sensors i think can cause problems.

it came up with a faulty code on the vagcom but also when i looked at the lead it had exposed wires so guessing it is faulty. what fuse could lead to a faulty sensor reading?

ABS fuse i think. Had the problem a couple of years ago.
Audi dealership hooked up vagcom and said the abs sensor needed replacing and quoted a few hundred.
Chanced changing the fuse when i got home and it worked 100%
Had the same problem when garage put brake pads that had no sensors in the car. They then had to cut and twist the wires before it hooked into sensor to rejoin the circuit.

checked the fuses to do with abs, all fine so guessing it must be the sensor
