Hi all
I need some advice please, hope someone can help.
I got into my 1999 tdi Alhambra yesterday and my clutch pedal was down near the floor with only a couple of inches of movement, I flicked it with my foot a couple of times and it came back up, but only to not return fully again. I went a couple of miles and decided I would return home as it was getting a little bit hard to select gears, buy the time I got back, it was very hard to get gears. This happened completely out of the blue, it was fine the night before, with no signs at all that anything was amiss.
There is no smell of burning clutch, there was nothing else to suggest anything was wrong, no crunching of gears, no whirring, no large bangs etc etc.......
I've had a check in underneath the car and can't find leaks, there havn't been any leaks either.
I've had a search through the forums, and I am hoping its the master cylinder, but really my knowledge of diesels, hydraulic clutch and dual mass flywheels is practically non-existent.
If anyone can offer up any advice I'd appreciate it.
Thanks all
