Any ideas?

I own a 04 Plate A6 Avant 1.9TDI 130 175,000 miles on the clock thus far and serviced (not by audi) when required. I'm just wondering if my car should be going through Fuel Temperature Sensors as quickly as it is doing. I had one replaced (due to Engine Management Light coming on) about 1.5 years ago, then again about two months ago and now once again the Enginge Management Light is back on.

Is there anything that can cause this issue? It isn't too bad as they are relatively cheap but I'd still prefer not to have to replace them every couple of months.

Cheers for reading

Have you had the car scanned for faults since the engine light has re-appeared?

Was the part fitted genuine?

try fitting a genuine one, pattern parts can fail often.

Cheers for the super fast replies,

I'm not sure if the part was a genuine part, thinking about it I doubt it as it cost about £8 and I fitted the last one myself. As for has the car been checked since, not yet but I am almost certain that that is what it is.

How much is a genuine part (ball park)?

I'll get my mate to scan it on Monday and report back.

Car Scanned, fault cleared (for now). The fault was the fuel temp sensor. The part that was replaced was not an Audi part.

For now, all is good.

Thanks for all advice.
