Well, I thought I'd better take some shots of old Helga. She's a 1.8 base model A4 B5 in black. The previous owner looks like he decided to clean her with a brillo pad, so when I got her in Feb, she was in quite a state. So after a new engine (cambelt arrgh); Exhaust (the tailpaipe dropped off) and various sus[ension arms I've changed the fun Mods so far are:
De-Chromed Grille
Black Wheel Centres
Faux suede trim (inc. centre console storage and handbrake)
De-Badged 1.8
New (ok, a tenner from a scrappy) Blaupunkt headunit that I've hard-wired an aux. connector into (the jack is in the coin tray)
Vinyl wrapped wood trim (free vinyl offcut from a sign maker - whoopee!)
Black sprayed centre console trim ( I took a chance with some Plastikote and it worked!)
A ********* special chrome gear surround and knob (tenner in the reduced section)
********* single cone filter and aluminium tape heat shielding over the OEM shield (temp until I can get my hands on some ally sheet)
Ebay Special seat covers (until I can afford nice seats!)

That's about it for the mo! What do ya think so far?

Thanks Zollaf!

Needs must I'm afraid! Most of my stuff is very Heath Robinson (you should see my PC - runs GREAT but looks like the Dr's Tardis...! Yeah, I did the door cards. 2m of crimson Faux Suede from Fabric Whore - I mean WARE-house, and a can of spray ultra strength fabric glue! Just went over the old fabric. Did it 3 months ago and still holding up!
