Hi all,

I am new at the forum, and not native English speaker, so excuse the spelling mistakes etc.

I have a problem with my Golf 1.9. tdi. When I accelerate it works OK on the first gear. Problems starts when changing to second or third. Car runs slowly and when the revs hit about 2500 feels like the turbo kicks in then car works fine. No problem on the 4th or 5th gear.

Sometimes there is no problem at all when accelerating, feels than turbo works all the time and no obvious change at 2500 rpm. Is it a MAF problem as seems to be the case most of the time?

id say check your vac hoses for leaks first... sounds more like a boost leak than a MAF issue ;)
