I am a new member and i just bought a 1998 volkswagen passat with an Audi 2.0L 20v turbo motor in it. I have come across a wierd grinding vibration noise which starts at about 25 mph and gets louder as i go faster. I thought it was a bad wheel bearing, but after I replaced the wheel bearing the noise was still there.
Do any of you know what could be the problem?
Also my ABS and brake light are on at all times...
Thanks! seems like a great site here for volkswagens.

abs is probably a faulty sensor the noise may be a different wheel bearing if thats what you think it is. its had to know witch bearing it is while driving.

Ok the noise is gone and I tihnk the abs and brake light are on because of a possible faulty control module...i did some research and found 30 other posts about this problem and all had bad abs control modules.
The lights might be there due to the fact that i have three harnesses that go to nothing accept for one...theres only one harness clip coming out of the car so there are two clips just sitting there going nowhere.
Also, I am not getting voltage to my #2 oxygen sensor...is this a bad sensor or something else do you all think?
Thanks for the replies!
