Hi All,

First time poster on here! Question for you all.

I currently drive a UK spec March 2010 registered A4 TDIe 136. What is the typical cost to change an A4 for a new one (like model for like model) in the UK after 3 years and approximately 40K miles?

Cheers
Trevor

Welcome Trevor.

Mine is now coming up to 3years old and has 42k on the clock. The spec is very high with all the nice bits you would expect.
List was from memory £34k ish and I negotiated and paid £27,408.00. Value now private I would hope for £16-17k but have not tested the market. Who knows maybe less.

Enjoy

Hello

You need to factor a few things in here.
I bought my last A4 in sept 09, it was listed at £28K including a few extras, but that inlcuded a special price for the 143 from Audi at the time which from memory was around £1200 to £1400 less than normal. Also VAT was at 15% which helped.

Fast forward to May this year. A new car similar spec to the old one and I was looking at circa £32K (VAT now 20% and no incentive). I received circa £15K as a trade in, however you will get far more if you are willing to sell your own car privately. Also if you are willing to take the car on Audi finance they will offer an additional £3.7K towards your deposit. You can pay this off after a month if you so desire and benefit from the additional lump sum.

These are not the exact numbers but they should give you an indications of the costs involved.

Worth speaking to dealers as they are desperate to sell cars in this climate and you can often get a good deal.

Dont forget nearby.dealers can be part of the same group and you may get a different deal from each one even though they are the same group with group stock.

Eg southend audi, harold wood audi and chelmsford audi are all part of essex audi group, but have access to all group stock
