I have had my diagnostics guys come round today to trace the reasno why my ABS and TCS lights on my Audi A6 C5 2.5Tdi V6 CVT Sport come on now and again.
The issue is intermitant, and the message relates to the rear left sensor, however this sensor and hub have both been replaced.
The diagnostics guys stripped the inner side of the car, and checked the continuity and values of the cabling from the ABS plug in the engine bay right back to the sensor, and then compared the findings to the other side of the car (not showing a fault) and they were identical.
This logically points to the ABS as the reason why there is this intermitant issue, however, everything I have read tells me that if the VAGCOM can even communicate with the ABS unit then the unit should be ok, and if the message it sends to VAGCOM is coming through then surely the ABS unit is not the fault.
I spoke to a Rochester (Kent) based repair company that repair ABS modules, and they said it could be the module or the pump.
Can anyone tell me if they have experienced anything similar. I dont want to take the ABS module off and find that it is not the cause of the fault?
