Hi folks, before yee all give out, yes I would rather keep the Allroad as intended but if it is toss up between scrapping/selling then I'd rather keep it with fixed coil suspension. If I win the lotto I'd be replacing the compressor, valve block and all the bags to ensure reliability. But no luck thus far. Does anyone have experience of running an Allroad with arnott, blaupart, strutmaster or other coil conversion kit. How have you found it etc?
Cheers,
Adam

Hi, I would say again that it is one thing you should not do to Allroad but choice is yours and only with oem A6 kit it might just work.
Many people reported conversion kits giving various issues, f.e. check this thread: Arnott Coilover Spring Conversion Only Thread - Audi Forums (http://www.audi-forums.com/audi-allroad-forum/53634-arnott-coilover-spring-conversion-only-thread.html)
Look up for more on Google you should be able to find some info.
Someone on this forum might have done one and will give feedback shortly.

I have fitted the Arnott conversion once and still see the car nearly two years later. I personally do not like getting rid of the air system (I have a lot of customers with Allroads) and I feel the ride is significantly degraded. One thing I did notice last week when the car with the conversion was on the ramp having a few new arms fitted was that the Arnott springs were corroding extremely heavily, nearly all the powder coat is coming off after only 18 months. If a spring breaks it will be a hassle getting new ones as I don't think they are off the shelf parts.

Cheers folks, think i'll stick with bags after more research, stick a pair of arnotts on at the front and see how we go. Still got an issue with fuel pump to solve yet....
