Thanks mate.
Just in addition to the above, and this might sound even more strange.
I'm a stickler for authenticity. Ideally we'd like to smash someone's VW Corrado up. :aargh4: ... I know. We could use anything but I'd love for it to be a Corrado. It's a beautiful car I've nothing against it and we'd only smash the glass (damaging the body is a bit painful, an expense we can do without and it's not necessary for the shots) The interior would be lined with polyurethane to make removal of the glass pieces easier, then we'd pay for all new glass for you. Maybe you know someone who's about to get a new tint or something. We could take care of that. And this can look like anything in fact the more outragous and nasty the better.
The car being immortalised is the important thing I'd imagine, and I love my motors - Just not really up on VW.
Personally I don't know anyone with a Corrado anymore they get more rare all the time.
Isn't that an ABT body kit? It's also a left hand drive, most likely US based judging by the lack of number plate, the palm style tree trunks, lack of road paint and kerb stones.

Just an update.
Having now scoured through ABT Sportsline related material I'm also confident thats who made this kit.
I've sent Christian Abt and his brother messages on the only platform I could seem to find them, which is LinkedIn. However they've each got a tiny number of contacts which would indicate that they never get on the site much. Of course they don't, they'll generally be in the pit or underneath a motor pouring over diagnostics.
There's also only a handfull involved in ABT Sportsline, with the only sales related position being based in Lebanon which had me scratching my head. I'll update you.

what incentive, beyond having their car windows smashed, does the owner have to loan their car?
I think you'll struggle, which is probably why most film productions buy the vehicles they use.
Forgive me for being stupid and maybe missing the obvious, but why not contact ABT directly via their website (Contact (http://www.abt-sportsline.de/en/contact/) or Press (http://presse.abt-sportsline.de/en/)) and/or Twitter (here (https://twitter.com/#!/abt_sportsline))?
I have another idea which I'll share pending the outcome of the above.

ABT got back to me saying they didn't manufacture the kit, so any recommendations for kit manufacturers would be welcomed.

The picture is of an H & R prepped Passat.
The bodykit is OEM.

Thanks Sam. Yeah I got talking to Neil at VolksDevil last night and he conjured up a different website to that with a spec list. This is me coming to drop the info in here.
So the kits standard VW, which surprised me because this was the first thing I did; went on VW and used their flash car builder for you to add accessories. These skirts etc didn't seem to be an option. I'll bring it up with VW but I think what’s making this car appear more modified than it perhaps is is the H&R springs, who are American based but they may well be interested in what I'm up to. I'll come back with any developments. Thanks again Sam.
The kit is sold by Volkswagen Accessories rather than Volkswagen themselves which would be why it doesn't/didn't appear on their configuration tool.

VW Accessories. You've saved me looking foolish and having people scratch their heads I'm sure. Plus the H&R must have an American franchise with their own website too so you've saved me more time. Superb mate.

Other than having their car immortalised, some new glass, blow-up prints of the shots used post-grading, to be credited, to get the film first? There's not much more I can give other than B&B for a couple of nights or a hire car. Although there will be little things along the way possibly.
Any owner who loves their car will need more than a couple of pictures of it with smashed windows to pursuade them to lend it you, but I'm sure with your charm and charisma you'll be able to convince anybody.

Hadn't seen this post before but a top tip for you Rex - if you need to identify something in an image, open Google Images on a new tab/window, click the camera icon then go back to the image and just click and drag it onto the Google Image tab/window and drop it in the search field. Doing that found the car pictured in your first post with a full write up as the first search result.
