Hi Guys, forgive my 'newbie' status - I have trawled various sites to try and find what should be a simple fix (Absent Haynes is to blame!:o

I have a 2002 A6 Avant 1.9tdi with the digital climate system. Just the other day when Britain decided to warm up for the day I was on the way to an interview all suited and booted - then the 'Econ' light wouldn't go out when pressed it for some much needed air con and it will not cut in. Interview went well despite the sweat drenched shirt! ;)

Anyway, can someone tell me which relay is the air con one? I think I will check there first and see if that is the problem. The system works great and it is only just decided to stop switching on, so I am guessing it is electrical and as the switch light wont go out - I am going through the process of elimination and looking at the relay next.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Thanks :-)

Pressure switch !!
Very common fault-- just to side of offside headlight. 10 minute fix--easy. £40 something from main dealers.
Lots of info on it on this forum. Take a look.
