spare wheel floor wet

Hi,

I opened the cover for the spare wheel this sunday 1 week after ownership and found the spare wheel floor area had quite a puddle in there, there was a good half inch!

Im assuming theres only the rear ariel point, rear window seals, rear wiper (and poss pipe connecting it but I would expect to have smelled screenwash it if it was) and roof bar mounting points and the main suspect the rear door seal.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this before and whether its a common fault?

I found a bit also (forgot to add on the other thread), sealed the aerial with stixall after wrestling with all the bits of trim on the roof inside. The rubber bung had been removed from under spare wheel too. Didn't check roof bar seals but no water in c pillars anyhow.

Turned out the rear washer pipe was leaking spraying some onto the window but the rest was going into the spare wheel cavity, the previous owner must have just used plain water as there was no smell of screenwash, until I started putting it in then I sussed it..
