Hi all,
My new to me daily has a few issues that I need to sort!
1st one is a dead speedo - research has pointed me to the speedo drive sensor but I am struggling to find a sensor online, before I go via Audi has anyone else had this issue and if so where did you get your sensor from?
On a side note a few people have mentioned that it could just be the gearbox fluid being low, now, rather than topping up how easy is it to change the gearbox fluid?
2nd issue is the reverse lights are dead, again researched and narrowed it down to the sensor so looking to find a good source for the part?
3rd issue is the coolant temp sensor, had this on many vag cars so again it is just the sensor I believe but one place told me that as its an early tdi its a more expensive sensor?
and finally the air bag light stays on for around 45-60 seconds before it goes out, I haven't pulled any error codes yet as I need to pick up a new OBD lead as mine has given up! the last owner says that it happened when he removed the clocks to look into the speedo issue, thinking that he may of disturbed an air bag connector? my car is so early that it only has a drivers airbag I believe even though the passenger side of the dash has the airbag cover, but no airbag lettering is on the cover (bottom right)
Apart from that the car is great!!
