ive got an A4 2.8 Quattro and the air bag light comes on intermittently ill try to explain - when the weather outside is cold it will stay on with the ignition and when running untill the car warms up and the light flashes intermittently then fully extinguishes - when the weather outside is warm the light goes off as detailed in the owners manual after the 2 second ans acts normally, i have had a computer on the car and shows no faults, i was thinking maybe the gas bottle/bottles for air bag deployment were slightly under pressure and when hot the gas expandes enough to extinguish the light. Can i ask your theories

there must be a fault logged. what computer are you using and are you looking in the airbags section.
there is no gas bottle for airbag deployment, its all done with explosives.

not sure on computer it was checked by a auto electrician

Hi, I'm new here but I had an Air bag light problem which I solved recently so it might work for you as well.
There should be a connector plug under the passenger seat, in my case I had the AB light on constantly, the plug can get loosened if the seat is pushed back too far of if you sit into the seat to heavily. I clicked the plug back together and cable tied it to be sure it would remain secure. After clearing ant fault codes, it hasn't returned.

Mine was solved by the Airbag computer being re-booted.
No faults were found on the techy thing so they decided on a restart.
That was a bit back and works fine now...
