Anyone had experience of water incursion on the nearside boot floor. When I lift the carpet there is a small puddle!

I assume that you have checked under the battery?if thats clear is the rear washer working?If not the pipe runs under this side and it popped on my Avant flooding the footwell

The battery is under the bonnet and the rear screen washer works well. The puddle (very small) is in the near side boot floor near the CD changer area under the carpet

If you have a good washer jet then its got to be rainwater.Make sure the rubber covers on the rear lights are not tucked inside and the trim round the tailgate is sound.

Sounds funny, but try parking facing uphill or downhill. The seals around my boot dont look bad at all, but if I park facinging uphill I get water leaking in. But this doesnt happen if I facedownhill!
Pretty random, but it solved a similar problem for me :)

Thanks all but I think I may have found it. I have a tow bar and I discovered that where the wire went through the bodywork for the electrical connector the hole was not sealed. Tried the jug of water trick and guess what!! Black sticky stuff now added which I hope has done the trick. Can't believe that was done so badly nor that no one found it before!!
